Amanda Nunes is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who is widely regarded as one of the greatest female fighters in the history of the sport. She was born on May 30, 1988, in Salvador, Brazil. Nunes competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and currently holds the UFC Women's Bantamweight and Featherweight Championship titles.

Nunes made her professional MMA debut in 2008 and quickly gained attention for her powerful striking and well-rounded skill set. She has faced and defeated numerous top-ranked fighters in both the bantamweight and featherweight divisions. Nunes holds victories over notable fighters such as Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg, Valentina Shevchenko, Holly Holm, and many others.

On July 9, 2016, Nunes became the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion by defeating Miesha Tate. She has successfully defended her title multiple times since then.
